U.S. law enforcement, in collaboration with international partners, has dismantled key infrastructure tied to the BlackSuit ransomware group. The Department of Justice unsealed warrants revealing the seizure of four domains, nine servers, and more than $1 million in cryptocurrency linked to the cybercriminal operation.

The coordinated takedown involved agencies from seven nations, including the UK, Germany, and Ukraine. BlackSuit's malware targeted critical infrastructure sectors, with victims spanning government facilities and manufacturing operations. "We will pull no punches in protecting U.S. businesses from cyberthreat actors," stated U.S. Attorney Erik S. Siebert.

This operation marks the latest in a series of high-profile cybercrime crackdowns as authorities escalate efforts to combat ransomware attacks. The seizure of digital assets demonstrates growing sophistication in tracking illicit cryptocurrency flows across borders.
